Some folk just can't let it go

Whilst I appreciate Chatterbox is for anyone and anything, good grief, some of the "discussions" on there really are getting beyond the pale.

In my opinion.

All I would like to say is this, if you feel antagonised or affected by some of the content, (crikey I sound like the BBC), contact the Moderator and complain. That is what it's for.

Far better, in my view, to do that than potentially lose valuable members and their associated input, be it technical, social and/or humourous.

I fully respect the view that takes in, "if you don't like it, don't read it" but of course, you'll have to respect mine too...

Martyn, help me please, I'm addicted to these threads, i can't help but visit them and read another pointless entry and then feel dirty afterwards. I then look at the time and realise thats another 20 minutes of my life I'll never see again. I seem to enjoy the spats more and more, it's like a forum version of a soap opera. Help me get to the web equivalent to the Betty Ford clinic for addictions, donations greatfully accepted B-)

Of course we all respect your views Martyn and when you open your very own Martyn's Home for Bewildered Forumites so that deserving causes can have special counselling and support I can think of several other suitable nut cases to accompany you on the first course!

Cheers Rich, I'm formulating a list right now.

50% discount for those who provoke most fury on here welcome first. Now who'll volunteer first I wonder?

All nutters welcome :D :D

I come one here around twice a day, I rarely post now as I have been shot down a couple of times and being a bit of a coward just leave it to the rest of you.

There are so many characters on here that after a few times of reading you realise there are the:

Exceedingly boring

Very knowledgeable but looking for friends

Looking to get into MMM magazine as often as possible with hope of editorship

Argumentative but amusing.

Down right hurtful for no reason

Wind up merchants, some excellent candidates for this one.

Droners who just go on and on and on, till it gets to the point you never bother reading anything they put

Political activists who just know too much about everything and struggle to keep to our level.

But whatever they are you can just read and move on or choose not to read at all. I wish it put who the originator was with each heading so you could see if it was worth opening or not. :-D

Have a great day all, steam coming up the stairs as I am guessing Arsenal are loosing!!!

I to am one of those that have a look but hardly ever find anything sensible to reply to.

What's the betting that the majority of those continual repliers "wouldn't say boo a church mouse if you met them in the flesh" now theres a thought.

Great Mandy - all we need now is a list of names of who is in which category please - and by the way I hope you have never felt to have been shot down by me!

Whatever they are they keep the group going, no posters, no group, dont know what category I come under, more than likely the worst. But up until I am shot in the head I will continue to post, sorrrry.

So says the main contributor of the most banal b*llocks on any forum to date.

You can always rely on peter for a balanced and fair minded view as he would never let the truth get in the way of an opportunity to have a go at me rather than anyone else now would you peter?

I really don't mind as I don't harbour a grudge but all this continual sniping for no good reason is getting mighty boring so why not give it a rest there's a good boy.

And if you say that you were fishing - I can say well done you got a bite!

Those who choose to write in downgrading terms of others are are simply life's undesirables so why bother to provide the fuel to ignite their fire.

There should be a forum for moaners and grumblers, they've nowt better to do.

Uncalled for or not even that is fuel for many. Me thinks that many just look for attention in any way possible, unfortunately they are possibly unwell and lack a common responsibilty.

True the forum 'may' be less interesting if some dissapeared but in reality for most viewers its a complete turn off and a waste of time even looking.

The best way to eliminate those who jhide behind a mask is to ignore themcompletely.

I see another thread has been pulled, I tried a diplomatic post asking for people to stop all this criticism about spelling etc, I don't know what was said after my post, but obviously something to annoy the mods enough to pull it.

I may be an argumentative bleeder at times, but at least I don't deliberately set out to provoke others, unfortunately there are a few who have nothing better to do and are getting threads pulled left right and centre.

In fact, I'm tempted to delete my account and re-register under a different name, as a few people seem to have an agenda where I'm concerned.

I can see before very long, chatterbox will be removed completely.

Surely in this day and age of website technology it's possible to delete an offending post rather than the whole thread (?)

To be fair to 'em,with the constant bickering, back biting and at times, out and out abuse, that gets hurled around on here,I'm surprised that they haven't shut the whole thing down before now!.. :-S

If people want top act like stroppy argumentative kids...they shouldn't be surprised,if they get treated accordingly.. *-)

I see that the thread they was pulled was mine, just what has this group developed into? where members are judged on their grammar or spelling ability.

Anyone fancy starting a facebook group for campers and caravanners cos this group is fast going down the pan.
