Following the coldest summer for two decades, we apparently now have a severe winter to look forward to.

We can expect some moderate to heavy snowfalls as early as October or November in certain parts of the UK.

December, Janurary and February to experience below average temperatures, with the heaviest snowfalls occurring within the timeframe of November to January across many parts of the UK.

Thought I'd share that with you all. I've just ordered some snowchains on-line for the car before they sell out.

Seeing as they don't get the forecast right for the next day how on earth can they foresee what it will be months ahead!!

This forecast is a tad different to the normal nonsense spewed by the met office that BELIEVES in catastrophic man made global warming and so made silly predictions like the BBQ summers we were gong to enjoy and then have the warm wet winters.

Instead we had cool wet summers and ruddy cold winters! This latest forecast looks at what is happening to the sun and how if it is moving to a "minimum" then that will have a marked effect on how warm we can expect to be.

The reason why the country ground to a halt was because the wishful thinking Met Office advised local governments that road salt was a requirement of the past because "snow is going to be a very rare thing". Yeah right!

Anyway - about this forecast - I am no expert but I have taken an interest in Climate etc because if we are going to kill the planet then I thought I may as well understand what is going on. The truth seems clear to me that Al Gore et al was and is still trying to run a scam.

One of the big parts of the scam is that the Sun is constant and does not affect our climate. This makes physicists nearly wet themselves with laughter as the sun goes thro cycles and during one of its last "minimums" we had Ice Fairs on the Thames and years where there was no discernable seasons at all - just one long long winter.

This is linked to sunspot activity as I understand it and for the last few years there has been very little of that.

The case for CO2 being the only driver of climate change has been blown apart. So you might want to ask why then are we expected to pay 30% more for our energy by way of a tax charge to supposedly combat a trace gas that has no discernable effect on climate but that agricultural research shows that higher levels increases crop yields?

So we want to reduce a gas that is a food for plants when the worlds population is increasing?

A quote:-

"Dr. Soon is an astrophysicist whose field of expertise is the sun for Harvard and the Smithsonian. He said, "The Sun is the all encompassing energy giver to life on planet Earth." And presently it's getting a lot of attention from scientists. He expects that if 2009 is another cold year which correlates to the decreased sunspot activity, that the global warming theories which attribute temperature fluctuations to increases in the levels of atmospheric CO2 will need to take notice.

He says, "If this deep solar minimum continues and our planet cools while CO2 levels continue to rise, thinking needs to change. This will be a very telling time and it's very, very useful in terms of science and society in my opinion"."

That was some years ago - the reality is beginning to sink home with most people

So sadly we can expect more of the same it seems.
