pepe63xnotuse Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 The last couple of days I'm finding that I'm unable to submit a post once I've clicked the Preview button..?! :-S (..I am having go Back, via the brower < button). Is this just my end? We've just recently downloaded/updated too IE 9(..I think,it is anyway?)..do I need to "enable" something? :$ Thanks
Guest pelmetman Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I had trouble with the preview button, so now I just post then alter it through the edit button:D

Robinhood Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I certainly had that problem at the time of the upgrade to the site, but not now. I am, however, running this site in "compatibility mode" under IE9 (which still is incompatible with a number of sites I use), so I suspect this might have fixed it. Try turning compatibilty mode on (click the thing that looks like a broken page in the address area at the top of the IE9 page once youve pulled up the site). It stores the setting for each particular website it is invoked for until you turn it off (by clicking again - the icon is blue whilst compatibilty mode is turned on). HTH edit: Just tried, and that fixes it. I got the turn-off action wrong, compatibility mode is invoked as I set out above (and first time used it will refresh the displayed page), but it is subsequently turned off under the obvious line under tools tab. I would suggest you invoke it on any forum page you use once you've read this, and then leave it (i.e. don't turn it off) to be in force for all subsequent use of the site.
pepe63xnotuse Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 I've just tried that compatability view thing..and it's altered the font, making it fainter again(pre IE9 update style)and it now lacks division lines between posts... :-S Although I can now post from a Preview... ;-)
Robinhood Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Yup, same here, but I find it is the lesser of two weevils. ;-)

Not really. Though I know it was used in "Master and Commander", I first encountered the pun/joke too many years ago to remember when. :-S
