Dash warning Light for Injection System

I have had the amber warning light for the Injection System come up on the dash today(2007 Ducato 130BHP). We were coming back from an Aire in Chateau Larcher when it appeared.

The van still ran amazingly well and didn't seem to loose power or increase fuel consumption.

Could this problem be expensive and any idea what causes such problems. Van has done 34000kms

I have the van booked into my M/H dealer next week for a couple of faults that they are going to repair under warranty so I will let them deal with it. (have 12 month warranty on chassis and habitation)

Thanks in advance.

We had the same warning light come on just after we filled up with that expensive BP Ultimate, we got about 10 miles down the road and it came on, checked the manual and it said 'Get to a Fiat dealer asap', so it was booked in under warranty (same model/year as yours. this light remained on for about 100 miles and went out about 2 miles before we got to the garage (typical). They couldn't give an explanation and even the diagnostics showed nothing had occurred, I must admit the only thing that crossed my mind was the fact I'd put this super duper diesel in and it might have cleaned out all the crap and when it had got out of the system it went out, other than that it remains a mystery.

Fault now fixed.

Thanks to Fiat Limoges for doing the job.

Turned up without an appointment and they took the van straight in and and hour and 20 mins and £100 later I was back on the road.

It appears that there was a split in the Air hose EGR valve and a blown fuse.

could have been worse there was a pilote in at the same time and he was billowing black smoke and no power at all, looked serious. I wished him well.
