Guest Tracker Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 There seems to be a mojor problem with accessing the forum today as the above error notice keeps appearing and it is slower than ever. Either that or the moderators have developed a weird sense of humour!
vindiboy Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I kept getting that Yesterday and could not get on the page, wonder what happened to the previous 499 ?
Guest pelmetman Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Same here8-)...............I got that desperate for a fix, I joined....... Motorhome fun:$..................:D
JamesFrance Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Yes, this is by far the slowest forum I know. It would be much better to link from the main website to a Simple Machines forum, which would cost nothing and work much better. Something like this: http://forums.comodo.com/index.php
terryW Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Had enough struggling, not a word from the System Administrator................. So I'm off :-(
Bob Elswood Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I am having the same problems as the rest of you........ The site is so slooooooooooooooooow! Only seems to have got slow since the 'new improved' version was introduced! :-S I shall leave it alone for a month or so and see if things improve....if not, then I'm off also!....
Cattwg Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I don’t wish to ‘have a go' at anyone but I do wonder why this website is so slow? It is by far the slowest of the many that I access, yesterday evening, for example, it was virtually unusable. Cattwg :-D
Guest JudgeMental Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I'm paying the tenner and joining the funsters..... *-)
kelly58 Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I have never known it this slow before its pathetic are they making it slower and slower so we all leave then they can shut the site down ?

flicka Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 This ERROR 500 is strange to me, I get it when trying to open some of the treads, but then others open OK although speed is slow. is there some threads the administrators don't want us to read ?????????????? The last update has created many problems still unresolved & i think that Warners should take the regular advise posted on the threads that the job performed was "Unfit for Purpose" & insist that the "specialists" rectify the faults they appear to have introduced.
Guest pelmetman Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 JudgeMental - 2011-09-21 6:36 PMI'm paying the tenner and joining the funsters..... *-)I know things are bad Judge*-)..................but a whole tenner?.........................................Not me (lol)

I simply dont have the time to hang about!
paulmold Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I don't get the Error 500 message but I've had problems accessing for a week or so now. I can usually get on around 7am or late at night (like now) but during daytime 'Internet Explorer cannot show the webpage'. Strangley though I can get on using Google Chrome anytime although it is slower than other websites.
dream machine Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 This is really frustrating & peeving me off. I've got a thread I started asking for advice on tyre pressures ............... but most of the time it is impossible to get on there to reply to the various other 'posters' advice. Even back in the days of 'Dial Up' internet connections it was never this slow.
mondo Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 JudgeMental - 2011-09-21 6:36 PM I'm paying the tenner and joining the funsters..... *-) Strange thing is I thought you were already a member Judge....
Corky 8 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I had the same problem all yesterday evening, Beginning to think this is the wind down for the forum, its very slow in responding when you can get on the forum of choice, no fix being offered ,No word been said about it , could be costing to much to run and perhaps not enough of us are buying the three Ms to warrant the forum..........just a thought.
tonyishuk Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Me too now !! Very slow, late afternoon, my BT infinity connection takes a hit and seems to slow rightdown, I blame too many pubesent youths out of school, catching up on social media *-) A couple of useful links ; Could be their area, your area ( or in the midle) where BBand is routed through; http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/service_status/ss_cat/2467/c/426,3098,3099,3100/ and one of the better speed testers as it has some testers on the page that indicate "noise" on the line; http://www.speedtest.net/ Rgds
Administrator Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Hi, I'm sure many of you will have seen Amanda's comments on other similar threads about a new server being introduced next month which will solve the problem but just to let you know the techy guys are having a look this afternoon to see what they can do to speed things up in the interim period. Many thanks for your patience, Mike
paulmold Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 I don't believe it!! Just got on straight away, each page loading instantly and it's mid-afternoon. Lets hope it stays that way.
euroserv Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 OAL Moderator - 2011-09-22 3:06 PM Hi, I'm sure many of you will have seen Amanda's comments on other similar threads about a new server being introduced next month which will solve the problem but just to let you know the techy guys are having a look this afternoon to see what they can do to speed things up in the interim period. Many thanks for your patience, Mike Thank you for your comment. A day late perhaps; but thanks anyway. We may have lost one or two of the less patient contributors who would rather have believed that the world was coming to an end. Just how much do you folks expect for nowt? Nick
