Zyroman Posted September 23, 2011 Share Posted September 23, 2011 sorry guys, me previous post was not clear, i am NOT referring to the Schaudt Elektroblock but the Reich e controller. I notice on the last couple of trips away that i had a strange noise and a quick check revealed it was coming from the E-control box, it sounds like a fan running but i have never had this in the past eight months of ownership. can anyone offer any clues as to what it might be? regards David Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What I wondered was, is this a sign of a potential problem, as I mentioned I have never had it happen before and was not even sure if it has a fan inside it. Brambles Posted September 23, 2011 Share Posted September 23, 2011 I suppose my comment was a bit flippant, however I have tried to find ,more information but struggling to get any as to whether it has a fan or not. What is apparent is earlier E-boxes were quite unreliable and often were replaced. I do recall in the back of my mind, and am fairly certain it was the reich control units did have a fan and could be noisy, but I may also be getting confused with the Schaudt system.
