tonyishuk
Maybe a silly question but does the Fiat X250 automatic change down automaticaly when on cruise control ? When "tugging" all our cars selected a lower gear automaticaly when going up an incline and changed up when going down. I understand the Fiat has an automatic clutch, so I was wondering if the shift down, shut off the cruise control as it would when changing gear with a manual Fiat gear box. euroserv
Tony, I don't know. Probably. Try it and let us know! Nick
armstrongpiper
I have a 3ltr Comfortmatic. The Auto system does nothing unexpected when running on Cruise Control, ie changes to a lower gear going uphill, but going downhill does not apply the brakes to keep speed down So, if the driver applies the brakes, Cruise is automatically disconnected. The gearbox control will then, usually, select a lower gear during the hill descent. Cruise has then to be restarted when back on the level. Hope this answers your question.
