ips
We would like a reccomendation fitting the criteria below... Norfolk site, riverside location with views from our pitch were we can sit and relax in this fantastic weather and watch the boats. Preferably within walking distance of a village. Can be private site or marina complex or CL. would prefer not to be a big static holiday park with pool and club etc but open to offers. many thanks in advance
colin
http://www.reedhamferry.co.uk/ Not sure if you can see the boats very well as IIRC it has a bank like most Norfolk rivers, the village of Reedham is about 1/2 mile away.

However, IT IS IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE, not Norfolk. As for details, the CCC "Big SitesBook" or the CCC website will give you the all the necessary information. Prices are much cheaper at the moment than the ACSI "indicative price", especially if you are members and over 55 years.
ips
Sorry not replied before now its been a bit hectic as we have had a few days in windsor visiting daughter. Thanks for the info colin, and mel Thanks tim we are now at st neots and its a lovely site we have a nice pitch 50yds back from the river with a nice view of the passing boats so fits the original criteria almost perfectly. We had a stroll up to the riverside pub for a vino this afternoon will have a wander into town tommorw. :-D
trooper
I'M a bit surprised how many people on here seem lost, a norfolk is that bit which is usually warmer and dryer than the rest, and sticks out into the north sea >:-( . I live here and know many nice sites but off hand none near rivers with boats going past.
Dave and Verity
Waveney River Centre Just over the border in Suffolk, anyway cracking site. Touring pitches totally separate from lodges. Pub on site, another one a few miles walk away, best showers and toilets we've ever used. You can see the river and hire a boat yourself. It does have a pool and a hot tub which is cracking this time of year. Don't know of any where you can watch the boats go by, but Ludham Bridge is only a 2 minute walk from the river, you have the option of a CC site there or camp on The Dog Inns field (toilets only, no hook up). You can also hire day boats there. Nice walks to St. Bennets Abbey, Ludham Village etc. Dave
