old thread new question

i currently have an 80ah gel battery that has been quite adequate, but is in need of replacement.

i would like something a little larger (perhaps 100ah) but gel are expensive, and i dont have venting for lead acid (i am paranoid about drilling holes in my (getting old)dream machine!).

totally sealed AGM seem to be a perfect compromise, but would my control unit setting be gel or lead/acid? anyone advise? any personal thought on these batteries??? *-)

Generally the AGM should use the Gel setting.
