chas
Hi- has anyone used the new LD Lines ferry service between Portsmouth and Le Harve, if so how does it compare for comfort and quality against the more popular ferry companies. Chas
Derek Uzzell
The vessel being used is "Norman Spirit" (GOOGLE on that name for more details), previously operated by P&O as "Pride of Aquitaine". It's a big ship, so should be OK comfort-wise in poor sea conditions - no idea about the efficiency or quality of service though. There were unionisation problems late last year, now said to be fully resolved. I'm also welcome comments on this LD Lines route. Until last year we'd avoided Le Havre but, having travelled in or out of the ferry port 5 times in 8 months, we grew quite fond of it.
Nick Miller
LD are the initials of Louis Dreyfus( Armateurs).A shipping group of considerable size. www.lda.fr. I see the ferry is now listed as part of the fleet under the RoRo heading. NM
