bobalobs
We did not go this year as nothing to buy but wonder what the show was like as led to think it was a revamped show with reduced entry fees. The open air shows have shown signs of cutbacks and absence of a number of suppliers. Was this the case at Birmingham?

tugga
We went on Thursday to the NEC. Not having been a regular attendee in the past, I am not really sure whether everyone was there or not. Most of the big companies were there, including Bailey and their new motorhome. Most of the people were looking over the panel vans more than the motorhomes, so perhaps people are thinking of downsizing due to fuel prices. We only saw one RV stand and they didn't appear to be too busy and we didn't see anyone looking inside them. there was plenty of side stands selling everything from steam cleaners to camping cheques and all things in between. We didn't buy a new motorhome, but we did buy some Milenco quad levellers and some winter covers for our motorhome fridge. We enjoyed ourselves. Liked the new Niesman Bischoff, but not got the money to buy.
bobalobs
Thanks for the replies. Does not sound that we missed much and saved us any impulse purchase that is later regretted! Will be interested to see whether the reduced entrance fee has led to a larger attendance
graemepd
We went this year and last and it wasn't as busy. There were a few absentees and I agree panel vans were getting tgheir fair share of attention as were the electric bike vendors (perhaps for the same reason - higher fuel prices!
