JamesFrance Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I have finally found a French SIM card which does not delete your credit if you don't keep topping up. It does charge 1.40€ per month if not used much though. No charge to receive calls in France of course. http://www.lefrenchmobile.com/ It seems very easy to use and I ordered one today.
Mel B Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Interesting ... what would it cost for someone from the UK to actually call you? I assume there isn't a 'loading' for it over an above the UK caller's normal costs for dialling abroad? With our T-Mobile phones, we have a 'free boaster' which allows us to swap it from month to month, we usually have it set to unlimited calls to landlines, but when we go abroad we change it to get credit to call the UK - it lets us have around 18 mins of call time to the UK (charged by the second), for nothing, and if we want more we can buy an extra boaster for around £5 to give us another 18 mins of call time.
JamesFrance Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Mel I think that depends on which operator you use,as it is a normal French mobile number, but it seems cheap enough if you go through something like this: http://www.planet-numbers.co.uk/phone_france.jsp
