dawki
Minstrel - 2011-11-04 5:16 PM We stayed at Walton on Thames to go to the Wimbledon mens semi finals. Thewalk to the station was much longer than 200 yards. Is there a short cut cos it put us off going again? Did you walk back up the lane or did you go along by the river? Minstrel
We used the lane and it was a very long walk!
dawki
You can walk along the river till you come to a bridge, turn right up the tarmac path this will bring you out on the main road not far from the station. this route is a bit quicker. you can also turn left and go over the bridge to get to Esher station
Minstrel
Thanks, we'll reconsider Walton on Thames.
mel wood
Sorry, my post should have read ...as referred to further up the thread, Crystal Palace IS closed from 2nd Jan (to Mid March). I was referring to Mel's post (though I also realised he'd got the slightly wrong date). Sorry! I misread the date in the CC book - not a good thing to do, especially when passing on the information. Colin Leake
Abby Wood is just fine. One often unmentioned facility is a ruddy great hospital just round the corner. Came in handy when I need attention to a superficial head injury that did not what to stop bleeding!
