If you go to the search facility and highlight 'motorhome matters, enter 'leisure batteries' into the serch field and highlight 'one year' in the posting box loads of info will appear before your very eyes.

Opinions on batteries as as diverse as the batteries and suppliers themselves but many of us agree that Tayna Batteries at Abergele in North Wales are as good as any for supply and that Varta are one of the better battery makers - but Varta cost more than many others so they jolly well should be better!

Paying more does not always get you a better battery and a lot depends on how you use and abuse it as to how well it works and how long it lasts.

Cheaper batteries that often seem to last well for many people - but not for others - may well suffice.

If you would like to read the gist of previous postings and then return with any specific questions no doubt further help will be forthcoming.

You will be better of getting two 220 ah 6 volt deep cycle traction duty golf buggy batteries and connecting them in series. Wet electrolyte is best as it provides more useable capacity than gel or agm. Recombination cell caps will keep topping up to a minimum. Get a well known brand name, yes its more expensive but you will get some reasonable quality. Most importantly LOOK AFTER THEM and do not over-discharge them.
