Bulletguy
Keith T - 2011-11-17 10:45 PM But if I am not mistaken, unless it has changed very recently, the only 'tax' on a vehicle in Jersey is when first registered, as they' added' an extra tax to the fuel some years ago and abolished the annual road fund licenece fee( I think this is simlar to the French system). You now have no Tax disc displyed, but instead an Insurance disc, which is also a far better way of checking that a vehicel is correctly insured. So in some ways it is fairer, as you effectively pay more tax according to how many miles you do,and also how efficient the engine is. Just Googled and yes you are right. It has been 27 years though since I was last there! But certainly back then, that was how they used to tax vehicles......big and heavy = higher tax than small lightweights, which I though very fair. I think now there are different tax bandings in the UK, ie a Porsche Cayenne or Range Rover will cost more to tax than say something like a Ford Focus. josie gibblebucket
The person I got this pic from was thinking of taking up a franchise to import these - especially with the price of diesel these days. Any takers? I'll pass your order on to him.........with a fee for being the middleman of course :D :D :D
Derek Uzzell
Plenty of odd stuff about - this one for instance. http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=157379 (The exterior photo of the Zephyr/Ginetta mixture was published in the "Retro" section of the November 2011 issue of "Camping-Car Magazine". Perhaps Pilote or Rapido wll produce a modernised version.)
