Setting Amps for charging new Batteries on Control Panel

Hi,

I have a 2007 Burstner Argos A747-2. I have upgraded the Batteries from two 70Ah Batteries to two 115Ah. I need to set the Maximum Amps on the Control Panel. There are Two settings: Maximum Amps and Nominal Amps. Should I set the Maximum Amps at 115Ah or at 230Ah and what is the Nominal Amps setting for?

Thanks for your help.

As you have two batteries, 2x 115Ah, in parallel they behave as one 230Ah, so you need to set the panel accordingly to the higher setting. It probably affects both the max current they will charge at and the trickle float charge when charging cyle is complete. Anway. do not not worry about it, just set to the higher rating now you have two batteries. I can see the confusion because you have 2 at 115Ah, but as I mentioned treat as one at 230AH and the current will be shared between them, approx half each.
