dt8948
Almost frightened to post a message after reading recent correspondence! But here goes. Never had a motorhome but would like to become non-resident in UK and spend my time touring France, Spain, etc. with only the occasional visit to UK. Would any experienced motorhomer out there advise if it would be better and cheaper to purchase a left hand drive vehicle in (say) France or Germany rather than UK? How does it work with insurance, road tax etc. Any disadvantages? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Clive
Hi John, From your posting it would make sence to purchase LHD in Belgium (or wherever the prices are best) and tax in where you plan to spend most of your time. But to do this you may need an accommodation address in France if that is where you plan to tax it. Hopefully others who have done simillarly will come in and advise. Good luck with the project.
