bubly Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Hi I am trying to get some info re updating my ten Haaft Oyster box and read a thread here the other day (posted here July 2010) which gave a lot of great info, which I've followed but" lennyhb" mentioned using" TV Box" which you can download from the Oyster site. lennyhb Posted November 29, 2011 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Hi & welcome. If your Oyster box's firmware is post 2009 you don't need to update via the serial port you can do it via satellite. If pre 2009 you have to update via the serial port, once the firmware has been updated you will be able to do future updates via satellite. TV Box Edit, it does look like it is no longer available, if you PM me give me an email address I can send you a copy (it's only a small file), you don't have to use TV Edit you can update via "Windows Hyper Terminal" but you will need to be up to speed with the use of Hyper Terminal.
