Barney123
Has anyone had the need to personally replace the 240v heating element in a RMT7655 fridge/freezer.? I have got a new replacement element and can see (in thru the bottom vent) where it goes, but the question really is, does the cowling have to be stripped away to take the old element out to replace the new one, or is just a matter of a some elbow grease to yank it out. I did have cause to have one replaced a few years ago and it only took a matter of minutes, unfortunately I did not watch it being done. Any constructive assistance would be appreciated. Brambles
Not replaced on your actual model, but on one I did it slides into a seperate tube within the insulation and a screw an clamp held in place also acting as an earth connection. You do not need to take the insulation cowl off... just haul it out carefully, I had to twist gently because of crud to free it but new one slid in easily. Barney123
Hi Brambles, Thanks for that reassuring info, Job now done, I did have to bend a bit of the cowling as it was hindering the element from going straight up and out. Many, many thanks again
