Although the units are L E D sealed lights two of the units have failed. I would like to re-place them all with standard bulb fitting lights where you can re-place the bulb should it fail. My garage advise's me that the appiture in the bodywork has a 40mm recess to accommodate the Mc Louis unit where as most bulb fitted lights unita are 50mm in diameter. neillking Posted December 15, 2011 Share Posted December 15, 2011 Bit of a risk, they are high intensity lights and so a tungsten equivalent would generate a lot of heat, put that in a smaller unit and then you've probably got trouble - and frequent bulb changes to boot. Not much point using a lower power unit in daytime either, in that case you might just as well disconnect them. PS: are you sure they've failed and it isn't just a connection problem?
