Which member would you most like to meet in 2012?

We all enjoy our on-line time here, swapping experiences, helping each other, giving positive advice and support to one another.

But only some of us have actually met up with others in real life.

So my question is: which other member would you like to meet in real life in the coming year?

Me? Thanks to the PM'd info from many other members, I'm now really looking forward to meeting the snot poet, face to face.

I think I'd like front row seats for that encounter!

Then I'd meet two people, although one only briefly I think? :-D

I'd like to meet up with any member, it would be nice to put a face to a nickname, I have ran and managed my own group for the last 10 years, my group is based here in the UK but is aimed at America and Canada and we have over 500 members, I had the good fortune to meet 2 of my members who came to the UK on holiday and they stayed at my house it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.

There are quite a few spats on this group and should the combatants ever meet up face to face I think everything would work out well in the wash and it would drinks all round and a cheery handshake.

I think what we need is some sort of tax disc sized MMM sticker to display in our vans so we can easily spot other forum members when out and about.

I'm sure we must all come very close to other members at some time or other but just not know it.

So an idea for MMM is to publish a simple windscreen sticker for us all to display, please Mr Warners for the new year? :-D

Keith.

Great idea Keith. I’d like to meet Malcolm, Tracker and Lord Braykewynde, as they all seem good chaps who have balanced views on life. Have met Brucey and shaken his hand although he didn’t know it. Gotha Brucey hehehehe :D :D

Cheers Bruce.

Just re-posting this because of posting on wrong thread. Christmas hangover is the only excuse I'm giving :-D

I'd like to meet every Forum member. even the two that in most cases don't come over (IMO) too good on the forum.

One that is quite arrogant but intelligent.

The other who is too mischievous for his/her own good.

I would like to think that there is a bit of humility in them both, so will wish them both and all the Forum members and the team at Warner's.

A Happy New Year :-D

Dave & Eve

Keith,

I had a yellow number plate made up with my group name initials KOTR and placed it at the bottom of my M/H's windscreen, something like the truck drivers have, wonder who the first group member might spot it as we are driving down the black slab or pitched up on any of the CCC sites.

Thanks for that Bruce,

Like Dave (Nowtelsetodo) I would happily meet any other forum member, even those I've 'crossed swords' with, preferably over a pint in a good pub, which would be a bit like continuing these forum discussions anyway! Only people though -- everyone on here knows my views on canines -- so-- pug dogs not included >:-)

Happy New year to all of you good people,

Cheers,

Colin.

I've met five members off another forum I'm on and all at different times and places. It just happened from posting what sites we were going to and they were there at the same time. Strangely they had no problem in recognising me but I put that down to the trumpet fanfare when I arrived on site plus the Braykewynde coat of arms on the van. Obviously my regal bearing would have played a part :-)

I particularly remember having a most enjoyable evening in the pub at Slimbridge with Ray C and our respective better halves when I imbibed a bit more scrumpy that I normally would. A good job the pub was on site.

I will add that there's one person on here who I wouldn't like to meet. Not because I fear him but because I fear what my actions would be. This person is the only person that I can be sure of that's a nasty piece of work in his actual life. Arrogant people are my pet hate in life. I won't mention any names though (lol)

I,  Like most of you would be Pleased to meet any MMM forum member as we all have the Common Denominator of Motorhomes as our Leisure,Pleasure, Hobby.   As with Politics & Religion We all hold our own Mostly differing views and being Human try to instill what we believe to be the Correct View on others. such things happen on this Forum, But Facts will always remain Facts , but That should not Prohibit anyone posting a thread no matter how bad the grammar or spelling is, without Ridicule, Tolerance should be our watchword,  Now.... When and where are we going to hold a meet.?  Back to you.

It would probably dispel a few myths meeting someone who in your minds eye you have imagined what they are like in real life. I have to add though that most folk I know think I AM Victor Meldrew, I just don't believe it though !

Certainly not you, if that nasty veiled threat to Postnote is anything to go by. Not nice at all.

With regard to the frequent spats that break out I dont think they are sent with malice aforethought, I think it is just a case of one upmanship, to see who can send in the most cutting insult.

Some of the insults are rather funny, and wouldn't it be funny if two guys met up on site and said I am a member of the out and about group and the other one said so am I, whats your nickname, wonder what would happen?

can you imagine if 2 or 3 members of this forum met up on site by chance or design and were sat there on a nice day or evening having a bit of a drink, sandwich or a barbie and remembering back on some of the spats and arguments where someone called someone else a ***** etc etc and how silly you would feel if some of your own posts were brought up, it would be really funny (lol)
