CPeachey
Cheap microwaves in Currys etc come in about 700watts. If start up power is double this then, in theory, it might trip on some site hookups. Are there any cheap, lower powered models available?. I am NOT planning on using an inverter. (Just bought a Kenwood 800w 1/2ltr kettle which boils in 5mins) Chris
Robinhood
As usual, Google is your friend. Searching for "Low Power Microwave" brings up a number of possibles, the following being only one of them. (No connection, no recommendation, simply an example). http://www.kitchenwareonline.com/acatalog/500-watt-microwave-ovens.html
gwyn
We bought a low power (500w) microwave on line a couple of years ago and its been great with no problems with hookups but I am always careful not to run too many higher watt things at the same time.
