CliveH
Not just France - nine EU countries downgraded Cyprus, Italy, Portugal and Spain by two notches. Austria, France, Malta, Slovakia and Slovenia were all cut by one notch. Portugal & Cyprus are now officially "Junk" status. This will make it virtually impossible for these nations to borrow yet more money to bail out Greece in March.
Lord Braykewynde
CliveH - 2012-01-14 8:57 AM Not just France - nine EU countries downgraded Cyprus, Italy, Portugal and Spain by two notches. This will make it virtually impossible for these nations to borrow yet more money to bail out Greece in March. So if those countries cannot borrow money to lend it out again to Greece does that mean the Brussels clowns, Mr Rumpypumpy and Senor Borassole, will expect more off this country? Guest Peter James
Well at least their currency is stronger than Britains. 1.40 Euros to the Pound when it was introduced 1.20 now. ... and Merv is about to start up the printing presses again.
