bjphillips
Laying in bed in the M/H the other night I had a bit of a fright while watching tele to see a king sized spider stroll across the ceiling above me .I wasn't quick enough to catch it before it dissapeared back over the top of a cupboard.Anybody know if theres anything available like the stink bombs used by the local council to erradicate flees & the like from buildings. After closing all windows & doors these are left smouldering for 24 hours.I did have a problem in France with ants once but after a while they seemed to disappear. Guest peter
Your van must be nice and dry then. As they don't like damp. Thats why you wont find spiders on a damp boat. As for getting rid of them, sorry can't suggest anything.

Norma
If spiders don't like the damp, why do find them in the bath?
Guest peter
Not when it's got water in it. :D They get in but can't climb out again as the sides are steep and too smooth. *-)
enodreven
Hi, don't hurt it it won't hurt you, if you want to get rid of it try to catch it or get it to walk onto a newspaper then shake it out the door ?
southwind
Yes - don't kill them! - great wee beasties! - safest way, (unless you have one of these safe disposal gadgets), is a tumbler and a beer mat. Place the tumbler carefully over the spider and then slide the beer / table mat over the mouth of the tumber. Let the spider go outside the van, (or in your neighbours van if you are that way inclined), pour a glass of beer into the tumbler to steady your nerves if necessary.
