Barry72
Hi I have join this forum in the hope that someone will have the experience or knowledge to help my father with his problem. He has decided to purchase an ambulance that has just come out of service to convert to a motorhome. However he has hit an insurance problem before he has even got the thing home. Insurance companies are telling him they will not insure it because it is neither and ambulance or a van. I would of though an ambulance without the lights, markings and sirens would effectively become a Mercedes Sprinter box van but what do I know. We were planning on picking it up tomorrow but it is 60 miles away and need insurance cover to do so. Does anyone have any ideas how to get round this problem without the use/expense of a transporter. Cheers. Barry.

Any other ideas welcome. Barry.

Barry72
Just spoke to my father and he called Adrian Flux today but no joy. I really am struggling to understand what the problem is here. Barry.
