WhiteCheyenneMan
If you want books......................https://www.vicarious-shop.com/Aires-and-Stopovers/The "Bord Atlas" is THE book for German Stellplatz, but it's useful to have "Camperstop 2012" for outside Germany, as well as the second "Bord Atlas" which covers the rest of Europe. I've just bought "All the Aires France" for a trip in April and it looks good so far. There are other ways to find them: Online (if you have access when you want it; Downloading in advance and on some SatNavs..........but not all! robertandjean
campingcar-infos is, in our opinion, the best web site but http://www.i-campingcar.fr runs it very close and well worth a look. We find the best publication is Le Guide National des Aires de Services Camping-Cars 2012, now available in France. Hope this helps.
Mel B
This is definitely the best and most complete aire book for France: http://www.campingfrance.com/Guides-et-Magazines/Guides/Guide-Officiel-des-aires-de-services-camping-car The 'All the Aires France' book (the one in English) despite its name, doesn't actually have ALL the aires in ... *-)
MandyAndy
Been at it a while now and would only purchase this one from now on https://www.vicarious-shop.com/Camperstop-Europe-2012-9789076080000.html Love it as you can get the Tom Tom and other sat nav downloads to match it which makes finding and researching much easier. Also using this one at the moment for our Easter trip and found it simple clear and with pictures. http://www.campercontact.nl/cc_reacties.php?sc=9747 Hope this helps Mandy
Retread24800
If You have a GPS and are looking for sources of POI's for Campings and Aires then the following should be useful http://www.archiescampings.eu/eng1/ Camp site locations throughout Europe http://www.campingcar-infos.com/Francais/accueil.php Aires for M/h's http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=30654 Aires for M/H's http://www.i-campingcar.fr/accueil.htm Again Aires for M/H's bit with the addition of a searchable on line illustrated database and a version as a pdf to use off line. For wine and fresh produce lovers the France-Passion book of overnight stops for M/H's provide a vaste range of 'Free' off road stop-overs but sadly again only for fully self reliant M/H's.http://www.france-passion.com School French should suffice for all thes sites, Archies is in English, but right clicking to bring up 'Translate with Livesearch' helped me buy stuff in Germany!!! http://images.proboards.com/smiley.gif
