Steve928 Posted March 22, 2012 Share Posted March 22, 2012 That's strange because Peugeot use 5w/40 in the 2.2 Puma engine. The 5w/30 INEO is a low SAPS oil usually for engines with a FAP/DPF, which the 2.2 from 2007 doesn't have. tommydud Posted March 23, 2012 Author Share Posted March 23, 2012 thank s for your reply ! checked last service bill activa 5w30 was used 90euros worth . activva & quartz on amazon uk about 25 £ / 5ltrs intend to service yearly . so need to know which is better of the 2 ! or do thay both do the same job ! Steve928 Posted March 23, 2012 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Your choice really but I can't find anywhere that specifies 5w30 INEO for this engine unless it has a DPF (which must have been fitted in some markets - see FAP/DPF oil spec. below). My research showed that it was Totale Activa/Total Quartz 5w40 that came out of my Boxer's 2.2 Puma at its first service, so that's what went back in. It's sold as Quartz is the UK and Activa in France. By the way Elf Evolution SXR 5w/40 is exactl;y the same product in a different container.
