Site in North East Yorks with a seaview?

There's one at Whitby on the West Cliff which gets good reports. Never stayed on it but have passed it and it looks nice

We've stayed at Sandfieldhouse Farm site. Most of the pitches have sea views and there is a track leading down to the beach which takes you right into Whitby, from memory I think it was about a half hour walk.

 

Beware though it can get very windy on site and I certainly wouldn't want to risk putting up an awning.

We stayed at sandfield house too - it does get very windy and there was poor TV reception, however, the walk down the beach to Whitby is lovely and there are shops within easy walking distance.

 

One word of warning - muggers oerate in the harbour area and they can be quite brazen (Seagulls!). You may be as lucky as we were and saw seals in the harbour

We too have stayed at Sandfield House a number of times. As well as walking into Whitby I would suggest walking the other way into Sandsend via the beach - lovely tea room just off the beach.
