Fuel Station Eurotunnel France Nearest

Recommended Posts

Using tunnel this year to France and as usual will be crossing with a virtually empty tank. Where is the nearest supermarket fuel station and not Cite Europe as height restriction? Will be going south although a detour back to Calais no problem. Many thanks in anticipation

There is one at Auchan (on the opposite side of the road to the main Hypermarket site) which is at the end of the Avenue Roger Salengro. Approx 3 miles

Another fuel station is at the other end of Avenue Roger Salengero on the roundabout which joins the D940. Both have similar prices.

Approx 1.5 miles

We either use Auchan or Leader price at Sangatte whoever is cheapest, both easy access from tunnel or ferry. From tunnel exit road, go under motorwway, turn right at roundabout that has the big drill on it, then follow road through till you come to Auchan store. Leader Price is 500 meters furrther on, same side.

Auchan @ St Martin Bolougne is just off the A16 (junction 33 I think & follow signs for Centre Commerciale) and just 20 miles from Eurotunnel.

We always fill up there and on Sunday diesel was 1.36 euros per litre. Auto gas is about 80 cents and they have no problem with filling refillable gas cylinders. They take UK credit cards, have grey and black water disposal areas and even one electric hook up space for overnight stays and a vehicle wash area too. Auchan supermarkets, all over France, are happy for you to stop overnight in their car parks too - unlike UK motorway service stations.

I will be quite sad when we come back from our next trip in June as that will probably be the last one for us using the tunnel. To reach our house in the centre of France we save 500 miles travel by using the Portsmouth / Le Havre ferry. Although we much prefer the tunnel route the 142 miles drive to get there is not much fun and the saving will more than compensate the extra ferry charge.

Just back from France and during the last 5 weeks we paid between 1.429e and 1.319e in France - the latter being at an Intermarche at Soubise near Rochefort - it was nearly as cheap as the fuel we got in Spain at 1.315e.

We topped up before leaving France yesterday at the Le Clerc at Boulogne Sur Mer at 1.352e as it is cheaper than Calais.
