What MH shows are you going to this year?

We're going to the Stratford Racecourse (22-24 June, staying from the Tuesday - not a Warners show) and the Western Show at Malvern (Warners) in August, combining both with other weeks away to make longer holidays.

We might also do the Season Finale at Lincoln, but probably only as day visitors.

Went to Exeter, Shepton Mallet, Romsey, (none Warners), Newbury (Warners),and maybe Shepton Mallet again in September, combining it with a holiday. Thinking of Stratford but depends on where we go previous week.

As we live in the West Country its a bit expensive to get to most of the Warners shows.

We hope to Mel but we have family gatherings that weekend which threaten to take over our lives!

Will probably go to Stratford as day visitors, we are still waiting for the van to be repaired after the next door neighbour made a rather costly error of judgement a few weeks back. A real pain waiting for parts to come from Italy so we have been stuck at home for the last few weeks. We meant to go to Peterborough but got put off by the rain and the bump has put paid to both kelmarsh and the Swansea shows

Hope the weather is ok and that its a good show

Just had to have a recheck seeing Flicka's post. Stratford show is 22-24th June, not next weekend-hopefully the weather will have improved by then!

Bob

You are correct but you can camp from Monday 18th right through to the 25th.

None. We attended York a couple of years back with the intention of seeing a particular van. The dealer, who we'd contacted before the show, assured us the van would be there, was a dead loss.

We introduced ourselves, asked about the van (a Rapido) and was told glibly that the van hadn't made it to the show due to operation reasons.

When we challenged them, stating the obvious, (i.e. that we were there specially) we barely received an apology let alone an explanation as to where we could see the van and/or if they'd bring it to us, (yeh, right).

Once bitten, twice - sod off.

Just coming to end of a really good week-end at Brownhills Summer Spectacular. Three nights camping, two nights entertainment, two meals, afternoon tea, mini-golf etc all free. Much better value than other shows! (almost as good as La Belle France). Seriously had a great time, met some really nice people and looking forward already to next Brownhill event. Yes know many people on here do not like Brownhills but which other dealers offer events like these?

The only thing I have ever found "spectacular " about Brown ills is their extortionate pricing on imported vans!lol An absolute disgrace.....

Thanks John for that in depth analysis - very kind of you.

Just one slight snag - the show is the following weekend - 22nd June!

Do try and stay awake!!

There is a show next weekend but as we are not going there it don't much matter what the weather does as those that go to shows in the wet and mud always claim to enjoy them!!

Can't make Stratford, been away most weekends since picking up the van and need a weekend at home to do some work and plan a stopover for a solar panel fit late June or early July. Also need to curtail the mileage on the van or I will need to pay extra and change the insurance.

From what I've seen of Brownhills pricing it's far from free don't delude yourself every Brownhills customer pays highly for it in their grossly inflated prices.

We have also had similar reactions from dealers,

Must be down the the way us " Northeners " look,

Flat Cap, Clogs and a Whippet !!!

Regards.
