Pete-B
Hi, This is probably a numpty question but I want to double up and add a same for same second leisure battery. But both batteries only have one pair of posts, obviously both posts on the original battery are used by the existing cables so how does one connect them? Thanks for any help. Derek Uzzell
Pete-B If the connectors used to attach the cables to your existing battery have no capability of adding supplementary cables, then the current connectors will need to be replaced with connectors that include that capability and the cable-ends adapted to match. A variety of battery cononectors is shown here http://tinyurl.com/d66dpg7 This example (you'd need 2 sets - 1 set for each of the 2 batteries) would allow you to attach cables with 'bared' ends. http://tinyurl.com/ccz6nwf Whatever connectors you use, don't forget that the diameter of the positive terminal-post normally differs from the diameter of the negative post. As advised on the link Bolly1965 provided, the cable used to parallel-connect the two batteries together should have a cross-sectional area (thickness) at least as large as the cables that connect to your present battery.
