Lovely camp site Eddie - certainly promotes the case for off site camping and even makes Dale Farm look enticing!!

you really are a miserable miser

I could have moved to a bigger pitch but couldn't be bothered as did not need one?

Yes the site is not green which I do prefer, but is immaculately kept. One over the road is very green but 2000 places and not as nice, this one only has 200 pitches .Heated indoor pool, fully serviced pitch, UK TV via cable and free wifi. heated shower block, with proper controllable really hot showers..How many sites like this for £10.60 a night?

AND above all else, did you not notice the weather in April? :D

Come on Eddie - don't take it seriously - nobody else does - or did you leave your sense of humour in Spain!

Sorry but I don't think we would have stayed in those surroundings very long even if we were being paid £10.60 per night!!

WOW!! you can certainly ride fast!

Ha ha ha...No comment. "He come s from the land of the ice and snow" was just about right!

All a bit of fun...My son did this on his Mac as I am having all sorts of problems with PC after upgrading to windows 7. had to laugh when I saw it, a perfect backing track...

Was that a helmet-cam recording onto an iPhone or similar?

Great fun Eddie! Loved it and dead jealous.

its a contour roam, just records to itself. nice and light and small and waterproof.... just got it and yes on head band, I have a fitting for dash and bike handlebars also

I got it for safety here...to record all my near misses and capture car number plates *-)

Was that a fleeting glimpse of your Robert Plant wig at the start, by any chance?

And what was that guy/girl doing at around 2:35 in?

Fantastic weather for April, as you say, but I'm not actually convinced it wasn't filmed on Mumbles

seafront, near Swansea. ;-)

Good fun and I'm jealous of your Contour, by the way. B-)

That Benidorm paseo maritimo is one way only, so I am surprised you didn't get arrested. Usually a few tourist policia around there looking out for maniac behaviour. :D

I still prefer La Torreta.

Indeed ....I cannot discuss speed on an open forum...,You get people walking out blindly all the time.....Like lemmings.

There is a lovely marbled promanade beach side. But oh no! they have to throw themselves into the traffic! That I am cycling the wrong way down a one way street is totally coincidental and beyond the point....But I have a dispensation from ye king of Espana

(joke - its OK for bikes - passed police cars all the tme.)

Enjoyed your video, was brilliant it was. Like Tracker not my kind of place except for say one or two nights but then we are all different. Really impressed with the vid from the contour camera. I want to try nd get my so to record more of our mountain passes we do, but he keeps then shot, fails to realise I do not see as much as him as concentrating on traffic sometimes or not going over the edge..

Looks like 'Grannie-ville' to me! :-D It reminds me of one of the driving games where you get points for squishing pedestrians etc ... plenty of candidates there! (lol)

Must admit if made me feel a bit queasy ... I'm with Tracker though ... not the sort of place I'd want to stay ... and people complain about being squished in like sardines on aires .... ;-)

Having had a good time this year January in Calpe, we quite fancy trying Benidorm out of season ;-)............Just need to find sites within walking distance that allow dogs...... Eddies seem to fit the bill, although would like a larger pitch to set up our full "Horaceville" outfit............ camper, 2 awnings, gazebo, trailer etc etc (lol) (lol)

The sites nearest to the sea front areTorreta and El Raco which both allow dogs and Villasol which doesn't. The pitches at Raco are all 10mtrs x 8mtrs, whereas the Torreta ones vary in size.

And so do the ones on here....Syd has an enormous pitch. I dont see the point of taking up a large pitches with a panel van if you dont need the space, Better left for those with big rigs or caravans. As long as I can put out awning, BBQ, tables and chairs..what else do you want

El Raco is across the road and a 2000 pitch site..not my style at all. More expensive also....

Most seem to be missing the point...I was there for most of April and 2 weeks into May and that is what the weather was like... superb. It rained one nigh and one Saturday afternoon. I was in shorts, the whole time, out cycling most days and really enjoyed the relaxation. I have said this elsewhere but its very cheap to live here, fruit and veg and fish etc.... excellent quality, but less then half the price of France and much fresher. I cant wait to get back there this winter....

Bless you....I can assure you there is a great atmosphere down these parts and you will love it, I had to drag the wife down here and she now loves the place..loads of shopping etc..in her element! lots of happy suntanned people, and yes you will see more mobility scooters then anywhere else on the planet..but so what

Looks like you're on either Arena Blanca or Camping Benidorm.

When we were there (Almafra) over winter we had a look around Arena B and it looked a bit tight.

We cycled (and walked) that prom many times.

Had a great time, but would'nt dream of going during the summer.

Great soundtrack. Saw them live at the Bath Festival 1970.

I've got LaToretta on facebook, it looks like major construction works are being carried out.
