ballargan
Hi All I am going abroad in September to France, Spain and Portugal and would appreciate any advice on a good breakdown cover for my Ace Firenze which is 7.3 metres long. Thanks Ballargan
Guest Tracker
Most of us get this included in our van's insurance but if not try the CC or CCC or AA or RAC if you are a member. The CCC has it's members only 'RAC Arrival' package which is particularly good - but it ain't cheap!
Patricia
Have a look at ADAC.

Stew
Try Britannia, I used them a couple of years ago for an 8.23m m/home and their service was fine :-D
BrianBW
We are with 'SAGA Breakdown.' Have had excellent service on the two occassions we have had to use them. One time we had to leave the van in France and return to the UK, as the Engine repair would take too long to stay. Each time they got us home, and a return to the Van after repairs. :-D
Shady
I am insured through Swinton Group also known as Safeguard (www.safeguarduk.co.uk) and the reasonably priced premium includes recovery (by AA) in the UK and Europe. I have no interest in this Co. whatsoever - it was recommended by the dealer who sold me the MH but he gained nothing from this recommend; he merely offered a leaflet. They specialise in MH insurance.
ballargan
Thanks Brian I have been thinking of Saga but I need to get through to the right department is there a number specifically for breakdown ?
lennyhb
With Saga it comes as an add on to the insurance I don't think you can buy breakdown cover from them separately, same with Comfort & most of the other insurers. You may find it worthwhile to change your insurance will probably work out cheaper than buying breakdown cover separately. Comfort charge £58 for European breakdown cover Saga are similarly priced. Patricia
Think you will find that Saga is more in the £80 - £90 bracket.
BrianBW
Saga comes as separate insurance. Any telephone number to SAGA will get you through. When you receive the Breakdown cover, it will show the required number for the service whether on the continent or in the UK.
