Storing foot wear

This solution may not suit your particular needs – because I am quite short, I find sitting in the passenger seat uncomfortable as my legs do not reach the floor: solution, a plastic lidded box, with a piece of carpet cut to fit on the lid, in order to rest my feet on something. I fill it with shoes! Keeps them in one place, not spilling around.

The box has to be moved slightly when I drive, and o/h sits there. But it “lives” in that position otherwise.

I have always found these different flat looking ideas do not accommodate my size 9's his 10's and her 5's when you look at the shape of shoes. We never wear flip flops or sandals, trainers always too big or heavy, crocs very bulky, boots for above reasons.

We use plastic box with lid in garage and we keep a large round insulated container on top of it for bread and the like, especially in France.

But then we do have a large garage with no worries on space issue. :-D :-D
