whatsupdoc
Hi, We are definite newbies, and have an 08 Autosleeper Warwick (on a Peugeot 2,2 base) - and the control panel sometimes shows "Disharge" (of the leisure battery) even though everything is switched off. Does anyone have any ideas?
mike 202
Sometimes the panel needs to be re-calibrated. IMO your best bet would be to ring Autosleepers or the actual manufacturer of the panel to see if a recalibration is a way ahead or any ideas that either may have. Also when you say everything is switched off there may be computers still running in the background. .I originally had a Swift Bolero and there was a discharge of 0.4 amp with everything switched off, this was apparently down to the auto selection fridge computer/controller apparently running in the background. Probably someone on the forum will have a more accurate diagnosis, but at least the above will give you a start. Please let us know what the final diagnosis is. flicka
whatsupdoc - 2012-06-30 9:25 AM Hi, We are definite newbies, and have an 08 Autosleeper Warwick (on a Peugeot 2,2 base) - and the control panel sometimes shows "Disharge" (of the leisure battery) even though everything is switched off. Does anyone have any ideas? Hi Dave & welcome to the forum. Difficult to say this without sounding condescending, but if you are reading "discharge" on the Control Panel, then not everything is OFF, the Control Panel is ON & monitoring systems - hence the discharge reading. As an indication - ours usually shows -0.25A, when everything but the Control Panel is OFF
Derek Uzzell
All Dometic 'power fridges' (AES-type or manual) will draw a small amunt of current unless their energy-selector" switch is turned to the "OFF" position. The electrically-operated drain-valve normally fitted in a water system involving a Truma C-Series air/water heater will also draw current when in the closed position. whatsupdoc
Thnaks for the suggestions everyone (sorry about the delay in getting back). Autosleepers do say that it is normal for the panel to show discharge (which begs the question - why have it atall if it always shows thw same thing?). I don't have the eqipment to measure the actual discharge (yet) but it does seem that the drain on the leisure battery is minimal since it's still reads as fully charged. Thanks again - a very useful forum!
roger s
I dont know which panel is in the Warwick, but if its a Sargent unit, phone them they are a very helpfull company you will get phone numbers etc and manuals for their panels off their web site. You could also have a look on the a-s owners forum to see if anyone else had had that problem
mirage
We have a Warwick and our Control Panel has always shown a drain, never been a problem and never resulted in any battery problems so enjoy!
whatsupdoc
Hi Mirage - Thanks for that - the battery doesn't seem to be disharging despite the display.
