Cattwg
Just something you may want to tuck away for future reference. We have an Adria Twin and yesterday the screen washer pump stopped working. So, out with the metre; 12v at the lead terminals so it’s probably a problem with the pump itself. With a little fiddling I was able to detach the pump from the water container. Put 12v directly across the pump – no go. Drat! And of course it’s a sealed unit. £ signs start appearing in my brain – how much is a screen washer pump for a 2007 Fiat Ducato?? Brain wave, I wonder if it’s just stuck? It does happen. Two sharp taps against the garden wall. 12v directly across the pump again – it works! Reinstate everything – operate the pump from the dashboard, several times – still working. Wallet saved. So if you washer pump packs up it may be worth giving it a couple of sharp knocks, in situ initially. I’m not saying that this is a permanent cure but who knows?
