armstrongpiper
Just got back from a month in France, with a few items needing fixing in the Tracker. The most difficult item is the Remis rooflight in the washroom. The metal link between the operating handle and the lifting mechanism has snapped, and I'm told I need a Gearbox repair kit, at £35 plus VAT. This is bit over the top for a piece which would cost a few pence (or maybe a pound or two at most). Has anyone had the problem, and how did they get it fixed? The rooflight has the number 10023932 printed on the plastic frame. Thanks in advance, Neil B
Derek Uzzell
Can't help with an alternative 'fix' but, as there have been reports about difficulty obtaining REMIS spares in the UK, could you say where you might be getting your linkage part from, please? armstrongpiper
With help from Autotrail Parts Department I was directed to Leisureshop Direct website. Their help service, known as 'Technical Tom', replied within 24 hrs with the part numbers for the drive shaft that I need. So, the numbers are as follows For Remis Vario 1, the drive shafts are 148405, 148406, 148407 depending on length of shaft, which depends on 'van roof thichness. For Remis Vario 2, it seems more parts are needed to refurbish the thing, but part numbers are 148470, 148471, 149405 again depending on roof thickness. The Autotrail Tracker, 2008, uses Vario 1, and roof thickness 50mms. Hope this helps those who need it, Neil B
