cerro
Thought I would try a little idea of my own, to stop my tyres going down all the time so I inflated them to 95 lb and went for a long run, when I got back I put the correct pressure in them. Bingo they have stayed up for over a month now.
George Collings
It might be that higher pressure has made the valves bed more firmly in the wheels or improved the seating in the core of the valves. Overinflating tyres can cause problems as the centre of the tread then carries more of the load so that it runs hotter. In extreme cases this might cause blowouts. My inclination would be to establish just where the leak is occurring so that appropriate remedial action can be taken.
Derek Uzzell
Whatever inflating to 95psi has done to stop your tyres deflating, you've still got tyres that are some 11 years old on a vehicle that (if I remember correctly) stood in a barn for 5 years. The phrase "an accident waiting to happen" seems appropriate.
BrianBW
When I replaced my tyres recently the garage [ATS] did a 'clean' of the inner rims. This he said was the cause of tyres loosing their pressure!
