tonyfletcher
Hi, Anyone had this treatment done? - does it work? Cheers Tony
bertieburstner
we had it applied to a new van we bought in 2008. Cost about £500 I think. I can't say that the van was any cleaner (or easier to clean) than my previous non treated vans so wouldn't bother again.
Derek Uzzell
There's a piece about this type of treatment in the latest version of the "Motorcaravan Manual" (pages 46-47). The A-Glaze process is described http://www.aglaze.com/ and Paintseal Direct is mentioned http://www.paintsealdirect.com/ I'm sure the treatment works and makes economic sense used on, say, large aircraft. Whether, for a motorhome, the gain outweighs the financial pain, may be another matter.
derek pringle
hi Tony, Have had this treatment on our the 2 motorhomes we have had. Positive thing to say may be that after rain the van is really clean but then good polish could give this. One disappointment is that I would think if it was as good as the sellers claim then the mastic areas should stay coated and clean yet on the roof area it seems to have blackened on the mastic so dont know how good the overall protection is. Got it done for peace of mind but it is expensive. cheers derek
