Lafuma Recliner Repairs

Hi all

Does anyone know if you can buy replacement elastic for Lafuma recliners? If so where and are they stock sizes or by the yard/metre?

Google ' lafuma chair spare parts' and lots of UK suppliers for the bungee type cords, spare canvas' tho' are a different matter ;-)

Replacements available on Amazon for £13.99 8m long which is enough for one chair. Most garden Centre Stockists usually keep them as well

Yes, I have managed to find replacement parts to keep chairs going in the past.....

Not wishing to start a fight :D but if these chairs are sooooo good (and expensive) why do people have to keep replacing the elastic on them? 8-)

 

Of all the chairs we've had we've never had to do this ... :-S

After 12 years of use we had to replace the bungee cords:-) .

Could be ( but I never said it) some people do put an excessive strain on the cords. Certainly looking at some of the people who visit us here the guide max PTAC for these chairs of 120kg is regularly exceeded. so 12 years 5 months constant use beside the pool ...........how long do you expect a chair to last?

We have two of these. Very disappointed by the unreliable elastic. Previous chairs of the same marque were very good.

 

Have used cable ties but eventually ended up using awning tie down rope. It works very well even though its not elastic!
