hymer1942 Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 Morning all, The only real problem "touch wood " I have had with my chassis side of the van since buying just over 4 years ago is the pipe from the condenser to the dryer, a bad design from Mercedes and I have had 3 of them, 2 I have had to pay for. The pipe fails where it drops from the dryer to the condenser and sits on front valance for want of a better word and because it is alloy it just wears through. This time I found a guy [ Jim, at CHILL OUT ] who is at Bretherton just south of Preston. He looked at the problem and with no little skill made me a new pipe that solved the problem. I dont often put forward anyones name for jobs but this guy really knows his stuff. He charged me £45 for making the pipe, and the replacement cost from Mercedes is £106 plus vat.
