bolero boy Posted August 8, 2012 Share Posted August 8, 2012 I have OS Atlas Lite on my Android phone. Does a reasonable job but relies on a good signal to load the data heavy mapping. Shame, as we often in remotwr areas (no signal) when we need the map! Probably best to take a real map or print first as in the OP. Still, a useful app in some circumstances. colin Posted August 8, 2012 Share Posted August 8, 2012 Interesting link, but when I viewed it message was "sorry we're run out of data for today" so not 100% fool proof. If you want garenteed access and 3d views etc then there's http://www.viewranger.com/en-gb where you can download maps and then view them as and when you need them, but it costs.
