External gas connection

i have an external gas connection and as i am hoping for good weather in the next couple of weeks when i go away i am planning taking the barbeque with me. I have not had an external connection before, could anyone tell me where i can get a suitable fitting to screw into this, are they a standard connection for all m/homes?

Local caravan accessory shop. Gas BBQ external fitting. Push in fit with a spring loaded outer ring to release. Enjoy the BBQ

I think there is more than one system in use, but the most common appears to be the "quick-release" push-in type, where a collar has to be pulled to release the fitting.

As Robinhood says, there are different types of BBQ outlet

In some cases (eg. the Bullfinch product) the hose-connector will be unique to the outlet.

Got what i was looking for, all fitted working a treat, now for some sunshine in Angelsey next week

There is the push-in type which has a separate gas tap fitted into the outlet housing and the Bullfinch which is a push-in and turn, to turn the gas on/off (no separate tap)

 

Bullfinch made the gas mechanism for the Olympic torches which went around the UK.
