beachbabe
I have a Sky +HD box...have been told I will not be able to use this in my van because it is HD it will not pick up signals abroad......is this True? Used my old standard box no problem, of course I can't ask Sky. :'(
bolero boy
Elizabeth, we have a Sky HD+ box which we take with us on all our trips and it works perfectly. We use it abroad, too and all works until you get a long way south...... We use an HDMI lead to connect to our 22" TV and we get all the HD channels we would normally get. You need a twin LNB dish on your van to use the features like twin record but take your card and all should be same as at home. If you are stil in your first year of contract the Sky system might try to ring your box and wont get an answer as you wont have a phone line connected. Beyond the first year it's generally only Multiroom boxes that get rung to ensure that they are not being given away cheaply to friends and neighbours ;-)
