George Collings
I wonder if they will get round to applying the same principle to unlawfull occupation of land when required to leave by the owner or owners agent.

George, By that I take it that you mean the itinerate Southern Irish "gypsies" that we are plagued by?
CliveH
Certainly I support this new law - squatters generaly are not the needy requiring homes - from what I have come across they are more the lowlife scum with drug habits - and as such no housing association or helping hand organisation will touch them. I am delighted that the law now backs the rights of the owner rather than those that steal. VERY good point re what constitutes property and can this law be used to tackle the travellers that blight rural areas. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
