armstrongpiper
I have a replacement dome to fit to a 400 x 400 Mini Heki Plus rooflight. It uses plastic hinge pins with a 'split-end'. When removing the old ones, do I beak the ends off, or will they need nipping with pliers and slide out? Access is not too easy and may need pliers with cranked jaws. Anyone done this job and can oofer advice, please. Neil B
Brambles
If it is like I think you are talking about the split end is like a clip. You should be able to gently squeeze the slit part slightly and push/pull the pin out and reuse. If you have new pins then just snip the end of carefully. Having suitabe tools such as needle nose pliers does help!!

armstrongpiper
Thanks for your replies. I have replacement pins, so will it will probably be easier to cut the old ones off rather than try to borrow or buy cranked end pliers. The leisurespares site looks to be a very useful resource, but unfortunately doesn't have the procedure for my new MiniHeki Plus. I will now wait for a dry calm day to tackle the job. Thanks again, Neil B
