Iain Strachan Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Well it will be over soon and were heading home to Scotland, just booked Zeebrugge to Hull, anyone know a campsite open after 24 October, approx 3 hrs North of Hull, A1 and near a pub. scotsbob Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 There is the CC club site at Durham ( TheGrange) Its open all year round, and its 10 mins from the A1. A good site with hard standings and good loo/shower block. Reasonably handy for Durham city, about 15 min walk. Not 2sure if there's a pub handy. Cliffy Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 If you come up the A19 instead of the A1 which is probably just as quick as stayaing on the A1, the CC site The White Water Park at Stockton is in view of the A19 Tees flyover and right next door to the Talpole Hotel which does good meals and there is a good cafe during the day at the White Water Centre but if you want a short walk it is very near the retail park and Liesure Park with a number of National chain Restaurants, Cinema, Bowling Alley and Casino http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/caravanclubapps/applications/uk-caravan-sites-and-parks/SiteDetails.aspx?csid=22013 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
