Just spotted this bit of kit! you can even open rear doors on a panel van. they may well do a version for scooter as well I would think. looks pretty well done, extends underneath onto chassis....

Judge

Looks a hefty carrier - I reckon you would have to beef up the rear suspension a bit?

Chris

Wouldn't want one that big myself must handle like a CB, a smaller (electric) bike version for eddie might make more sence than hanging to much weight off the rear door but still being able to open rear doors.

Thats on a L4 maxi chassis which has 2.4t cap on rear, seems to say axle load is 2.17t so plenty of spare.

really no need for us as only have a pair of lightweight e bikes.......Blimey Pepe! that looks a good job, sure you could easily do something like this for a scooter....

but i think the electric lift version would appeal to some for scooters etc....

Cheers Eddie.. :$ ...

To be honest, for what we used it for(storage for leveling wedges, leads, gas stove/canistors,wellies etc...),we could've got away with a Fiamma type cycle rack and box, just hung off the back door...but there was no way I was going to spend the sort of money they were after.. (lol)

The Burstner Brevio on display at Dusseldorf had something very similar, but the Hymer Compact went one better with a fully enclosed GRP housing mounted on top of the carrier that would take a couple of bikes.

You been peeking in the window when the van's a rocking Judge!!! 8-) :$

If I wanted to take a scooter (or two!) with me, I'd put it on a trailer as we have a very healthy towing limit on our van with a train weight of 6000kg! We've decided to sell the scooters as we haven't used them as much as we thought we would and, as we've now got the Smart which is as cheap (if not cheaper) to run, we'll use that instead so no point in keeping them.

i saw it fitted to panel van first and found retailer afterwards so heading wrong as they do kits for all types of campers....I just thought the electric drop one for 120kg bikes at only 35kg looked like the answer for a lot of people..
