wrinkly old hippy
Hi has anyone been to Pau in February? I've been told the microclimate there makes it warm and mild, but find that hard to believe.
flicka
Hi Lesley & welcome to the forum. I haven't been in February, but a visit (on business) in November 2008 proved to be very pleasant, both temperature & weather wise. IIRC clear sunny sky around 20deg during the day & 12deg late evening

foxy
we stay on the aire in Laruns, about 30 miles nearer the pyrenees from Pau, find it a lot more scenic drive over the Pyrenees than through them when heading for Benidorm.
Linda Quinn
Hi Tricky Dicky We are hoping to go to Spain from December to March or April. I see you go to Benidorm. Do you stay on a camp site and if so could you tell me the price as we are trying to plan our budget? Happy and safe traveling.
Mike88
Linda Quinn - 2012-10-17 10:29 AM Hi Tricky Dicky We are hoping to go to Spain from December to March or April. I see you go to Benidorm. Do you stay on a camp site and if so could you tell me the price as we are trying to plan our budget? Happy and safe traveling. Camping Villasol is the most expensive at 14.90 euros per night plus electricity at 0.45euros per kilowat hour for stays of 90 days and over. 30 to 90 days is around 17.93 euros. There is an ACSI site - the Armanello which is 16 euros a night - but I don't care for that one. There is the Torretta and the El Raco as well - both cheaper than Villasol. vindiboy
We stayed on the Aire at St Lary Soulan , Pyrenees, one year in January and had to use snow chains to get up to the Tunnel , Police would not let any vehicle up without chains, wouldn't have been possible without the chains anyway , so be aware that it can get very icy up there in Winter
