Hi

This is not to do with MH,ing but when stuck this is the best place for advice.

Motherinlaw wants to go to Thailand next week, but carnt find medical ins,

She is an amputee and had 5 bypasses( heart)

Before the jokes start we want her to have a return flight, some bright spark will say 1 way.

So that's out the way.

She is desperate to go with the family to her son, she's 81 and very good for her age even with the disabilities.

Thanks to any one whom can help

Dennis

This is the major spanish company behind many well known names including the likes of Staysure etc...

http://www.mapfre.com/corporativo/grupomapfre/en/general/index.shtml

I am currently with one: http://www.goodtogoinsurance.com/?utm_source=TAG&utm_medium=affiliatelink&utm_campaign=standard

Dont quite understand why it has been left so late to arrange. also given conditions and age going to be very expensive I would think. I mean would you fancy taking the risk? Probably better of going without insurance and paying out of own pocket if things go wrong.....How long is the holiday, longer the trip, risk increases and cost rises....

There are other companies, just use site "search" function

I would consider £450 a bit of a bargain

EDIT: Just found what I was looking for ..Posted by Colin recently, may be of help fingers crossed! :-D

Not sure if this will be of any help, but have you asked about annual insurance rather than single trip? We have found that it was cheaper to get annual insurance for a 5 week trip to France, than it was to get a single trip policy with the same company (minimal health problems).

Thank you for replys

The seat became available due to me not being able to go( business meeting)

With the costing so much and the morherinlaw wanting to go, it seemed ideal. We have now let my granddaughter aged 11 take my seat, lucky thing, business class , lay flat beds on plane.

We will look into saga and the Spanish web site too.

Hi flicka, your PM not received.

We did consider taking her with no insurance, but the cost of cardiac ops and ambulance flights would run into hundreds ofbthousands

I'm so resisting telling any mother in law jokes, very hard.

Thanks again

Dennis
